Raahe Swimming Hall

Kuntokeidas Vesipekka is a large swimming hall in Raahe where you can practice swimming, bowling and other leisure activities. The center is suitable for adults and children. It has several pools, steam saunas, a slide, a jumping tower, a gym, a bowling hall and a ball sports arena. There is also a cafe open all week round.

Swimming hall section

The swimming hall department includes a 25-metre pool with a max depth of 1.4 m and a 25-metre pool with a max depth of 3.9 m. Both pools have five lanes. There is also a 3-metre jumping tower and two swimming pools for children. The shallow one is 20 cm in depth and the deep one is 0.75 m in depth. The aqua track has been designed for children over the age of six who can swim. They can climb, jump, overcome obstacles and go down a slide. Sauna fans have access to steamed saunas and ordinary saunas.

If you are new to swimming or you want to familiarize your child with this sport, the center offers swimming classes for adults and kids. Swimming sessions for babies and toddlers are also available. The instructors have completed the baby swimming course of the Finnish Swimming Teaching and Lifesaving Association so you can be sure your baby is safe.

Gym

Vesipekka has a spacious and modern gym equipped with top-quality equipment. If you are a beginner, you can hire a personal trainer who will guide you through your journey and tailor a personalized training program to help your reach your goals faster. At your request, they can create a nutritional program for you as well. This will speed up your workout recovery and increase your muscle growth rate.

For a gym session, you can choose between an one-part program or a two-part program. The former deals with training the full body during a single workout. The latter involves two workouts where you train your lower body in the first place, then the upper body in a separate session.

Bowling

If you are passionate about bowling, you can visit the bowling alley with four lanes. You can play alone, in pairs or in group. The bowling session fee includes, among others, the shoes and balls. You can rent the bowling alley for private events too.

Ball sports arena

If you want to improve your heart rate, increase your reaction, or just spend good time with your family and friends, you can play different sports in the ball hall. It is suitable for tennis, badminton, volleyball and floorball. You can rent the equipment for playing the sports from the ticket office.

Reservations

You can visit the swimming hall in the opening hours, but if you want to book an appointment, you should make a reservation in advance. You can make it through the electronic booking system or by phone. If you want to take swimming classes or personal gym guidance, you should call directly the instructor/trainer. The swimming hall is open all week round from morning to late evening. Each department has its own opening and closing hours.
